Set up the exercise bench for your exercises

Adjustable exercise benches are clearly a favorite of many, as they are flexible and can be adapted to several different exercises. With an adjustable bench, you can easily go from lying bench press to inclined bench press to arm curls in a few seconds. You therefore get 100% control over breaks between exercises and sets without too much wasted time.

Which exercise benches are best?

To decide which exercise bench or benches are best for you, you need to consider the following:

  • What do you want to get out of the training bench?
    • Good surface for heavy lifting on the back?

    • A bench where your heavy barbells can also be placed?
  • Which muscle groups do you want to train?

All these considerations are decisive for which bench(s) suit you best. The benches come in several different variations, which can have specific training purposes, such as a back trainer. Others come based on your heavy barbells, which can be a really good investment if you're on your back with heavy lifts and don't have a spotter to help you off the bar when it gets too heavy. Either way, you're halfway there by simply considering your purpose for your bench before you buy.
